It is so great to see this. Off the Map is a film that was "off the map," had a lot of trouble getting distributed. I was in on some of the backstage information for this film (an acquaintance programmed and got permission for all the songs used in it; he lives in Taos, where it was filmed), and it really was a labor of love. It's a great film, too.

Not only did I like the film, I think Sam Elliott should have been given an Oscar nomination for a very unexpected performance.

I agree. He knocked it out of the park, and I loved his relationship with J.K. Simmons. That wrestling match was really a great moment.
